...and I am a WAMMO
Being a wammo myself I guess it is not surprising I am a little dismayed by this rant. I will concede that most warrior monks I meet are a little on the poor side and suffer the same problems all warriors are famous for (they were doing deaths charge long before there were assasins, excuse the pun). I can't say that you are wrong or that any one is actually wrong here, as in PvP I tend to play a different class; what I can say is that on the rare occasions I have taken my little palladin into the arenas he has been effective in filling specific roles. He body blocks and harrases, interrupts when he can and takes the sort of damage most characters would find most uncomfortable.
Let us not forget that an idiot is an idiot no matter what class you place him in. I can give my favourite troll farming build to a moron and he will still get owned by two trolls and a stick of celery just outside Droks.
I would say that the Wammo as an irritant, is an emergent situation due to it's capability for success. It is only it's misuse that leads to this most desperaging of posts.
Let us not forget there are healers who don't, rangers who know not what their name implies, Eles obsessed with the front line yet lacking the skills to survive, Necs who manage to sacrifice themselves to death (probably taking one for the team),
Assasins who might as well have a stick of TNT strapped to their chests...I could pick on rits and mesmers but my imagination is exhausted.
Kill the wammo and beat the team if you can:
if you can't?
We expect an apology.

Lol....now I have heard it all....
And how does the wammo get to rank 6 without a group of 7 others to help him along...I have played with rank 4 monks that were total crap.. but they were still rank 4 because they had a group that won even though they didn't know what they were doing...so same thing with a wammo or any other your rank just says how good your group plays not you as an individual....

In general a primary W is easymode for PvE no other class can do everything as easy as they can, whenever you need something special you can just change your secondary and get whatever skill(s) you need.
Not saying Warriors needs a nerf but they are just so easy to play.

If I come across a W/Mo using mending, and I'm in a tolerant mood, all I do is say 'You know, there's better skills than Mending.'
Due to that casual utterance in Local during a battle, I often get whispers afterwards, saying 'like wut', if not more eloquently worded. Lots of people are willing to learn how to play better, and I have personally trained many warriors who are better overall afterwards.
Anyways, let's hope that the new premades will cut down on Wammo activity.
And to all the people who are Diehard wammos (Whether you're super-experienced and a billion times better than me, or 3day beginners), try changing your secondary. It's tons of fun. Serious.

Well this looks like a good thread to post my philosophy on the subject lol. W/Mos are far from the problem, people that don't look at the game with the intention of improving are a problem. For every W/Mo with 14 tactics and 12 healing there are also Mo/W that rebirth in the middle of a firefight, N/Mos that suicide with orders, cast heal area on enemies, or SS a lone ranger when there is a swarm of monsters begging for it, and rangers that run into swarms of monsters and suicide (but not without setting that flame trap first).
There will always be people on one side of the argument that look at this game as a science (like me) in which mending warriors have NO place when there are numerous alternatives that are either way overpowered or only suck half as much, and as a game where fun is measured by winning.
On the other side will be people that just don't care. I imagine even if ANet implemented a losing message of "YOU LOSE NUB" a wammo that lost tanking 4 warriors for 15 minutes would still have a stupid grin on his face because he has accomplished his goal: to suck for the longest time period possible.
Yes, that is hostility you detect, but to me GW is a science that I love and respect. What if you were and artist and some gimp came into your studio and used your oil pants to paint rainbows and unicorns on your walls? That's a bit how I feel when I REALLY need a good warrior to knock the crap out of a mesmer that is shutting me down in RA and all I see is a wammo whose swordsmanship is so low he can't maintain sever artery on one enemy.
So, in response to anticipated messages of "We just wanna have fun!" I say, wouldn't you have more fun winning? Fit those warriors for DPS and not tanking for PvP please.
I didn't really know where to fit this into my own post, but are you guys familiar with the Tao of Jeet Kun Do? Maybe somebody else can spell it right for you, but it basically says instead of using strong defense (which is ALWAYS overcome by persistant offense) why not focus on overwhelming offense. Which would help you more? Mending to counter degen, or wiping degen off the face of the planet with frenzy and deepwound?
